Job Description
As an Automation Tester for API and Application, you will be responsible for executing testing strategies across various software applications, focusing on API, web, and mobile platforms. You will utilize your expertise in API testing with tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar to validate RESTful services and JSON/XML-based APIs. You will conduct in-depth application testing to identify usability, functionality, and performance issues across web. Additionally, you will perform load testing and performance benchmarking using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, K6 or similar, ensuring applications meet performance standards. You will develop and execute test automation scripts with C# for APIs and applications to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness. You will understand network protocols, HTTP methods, and status codes critical for API testing and performance evaluation. You will design comprehensive test plans and cases, including load testing scenarios for complex software applications. Furthermore, you will engage with CI/CD processes, utilizing tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, for seamless integration of testing into the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve issues, using strong problem-solving skills. You will stay updated with the latest trends in software testing, especially in API and application testing domains, to refine testing strategies.
Qualifications
We expect candidates with a minimum of 2 years of commercial experience as a QA Automation Engineer. Strong proficiency in C#, deep understanding of object-oriented programming, and good programming practices are required. Knowledge of test automation and familiarity with CI/CD pipeline practices are necessary. A solid understanding of QA development techniques and industry best practices is also required. Proven ability to work on UI testing automation is essential. A strong ownership mindset with the ability to take responsibility for the quality and completeness of the testing process is necessary. Demonstrates an Agile mindset, with experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English at a minimum B2 level is required. The ISTQB TAE certification is a strong asset for those aiming to take on this test automation role. A demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly are necessary. An open-minded and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement is essential. Strong communicative skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are required.
