Information Security Management System Intern

The IAEA is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to assist the Central Information Security Group with implementing and improving the Information Security Management System (ISMS) for the Agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team with coordinating ISMS activities with stakeholders, including the formalization of the control framework in the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tool.
  • Support the team with gathering and analyzing data for reporting on the ISMS performance.
  • Assist the team with training and awareness activities, including running phishing campaigns and organizing Cybersecurity Awareness Days.
  • Assist the team with coordinating activities related to Identity and Access Management.
  • Support the team with ad-hoc operational security tasks as required.

Requirements

  • University degree in Information Technology or other relevant field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint).
  • Strong organizing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and good time-management skills.
  • Risk Management skills are an asset.
  • Project Management skills are an asset.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years of age and have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree.
  • Candidates may apply up to one year after the completion of a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree.
  • Candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA's internship programme.
  • Good written and spoken English essential; fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset.
  • Candidates must attach two signed letters of recommendation to their application.
