Director Load Consolidation Center

The European transport control tower is managed by the Director Load Consolidation Center, responsible for Transport, Customs, and Pallets management operations across Europe. This role is accountable for operations, service delivery, financial performance, and defining/driving continuous improvement to achieve year-on-year productivity. Strategy thinking and development of recommendations for senior management to generate buy-in for future initiatives are also required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop LCC strategies and roadmaps.
  • Manage international transport, import finished goods customs clearance, pooling pallets management to ensure safety, availability, and service delivery while meeting internal and external requirements.
  • Manage risk management, ensuring continuity of supply through demand forecasting, transportation capacity management, and supplier relationships.
  • Lead, develop, and deliver improvement processes and programs to enhance service and environmental impact, generate productivities, and lower the overall unit cost of transport, customs costs, and pallets for Mdlz Europe.
  • Work with key stakeholders to share performance and agree action plans to improve KPIs and service, focusing on environmental and productivity opportunities and service improvements by identifying and implementing CI programs, harnessing internal and external inputs.
  • Lead and support the development of the LCC team, providing vision and strategy to ensure they deliver against individual and business targets, developing the team in line with their potential.
  • Actively contribute to Logistics Procurement in supplier evaluation and biddings optimization to maximize value and service delivery for transportation, customs, and Pallets.
  • Evaluate suppliers' performance and work with them to ensure effective management, timely solutions, execution, and continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • Engineering, logistics, or business university degree.
  • Experience in Logistics Operations, ideally with transport P&L management.
  • 15+ years of supply chain experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in leading and managing teams.
  • FMCG experience or Logistic service provider ideally in transport control tower.

Salary and Benefits

For Slovakia, the salary starts at 6000 € plus annual bonus payment based on performance, and the final offer will depend on skills and previous experience. Top benefits are offered. For Austria, the salary is graded in the Collective Labor Agreement "Information and Consulting", with an entry gross-salary of EUR 105,000 per year, split into 14 pays for full-time. Overpayment is possible based on professional work experience and qualification.
