Global Inventory Manager

Job Summary

Join ABB as a Global Inventory Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strategic thinking and operational expertise. As a key member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory management strategies that drive business growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize finished goods inventory levels, raw materials, and work-in-progress (WIP)
  • Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly
  • Oversee the order fulfillment process to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery, and track and analyze OTIF performance metrics
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective material acquisition, and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Implement inventory optimization techniques to reduce holding costs and improve turnover rates, and use inventory management software to monitor and control levels
  • Generate regular reports on inventory metrics, analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and present findings and recommendations to senior management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in inventory management software, S&OP, and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English and German
