RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct a comprehensive review of current electro-chemical-mechanical modeling techniques applicable to automotive battery systems. Explore the core electrochemical aging mechanisms and their interactions with mechanical stress and dimensional changes (such as swelling). Create mathematical and computational frameworks to simulate battery performance under various mechanical scenarios. Validate the proposed models against empirical data to ensure accuracy.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Currently pursuing a master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Natural Sciences (such as Physics or Mathematics). Proficient in Python programming. Familiarity with battery technologies is advantageous. Experience with mechanical Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations is a plus, though not mandatory. Demonstrates a high degree of independence while also being able to collaborate effectively within a team. Strong command of the English language is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
