About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to join our team in Vienna, Austria. This is a challenging opportunity to work on safety-critical railway systems and lead as Software and System Architect along the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and establish solution architecture according to customer requirements, balancing stakeholder expectations, technical and technological solutions, cost, risks, and schedule.
  • Act as a technical expert to define system architecture, working closely with project management and other business line units.
  • Propose solution architecture in compliance with functional and non-functional (safety, reliability, security, etc.) requirements.
  • Work in an international agile team, collaborating with other business units to deliver high-quality projects.
Requirements
  • Technical education in Computer Science, Informatics, or similar field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in full lifecycle software development and system architecture, preferably in industrial contexts.
  • Experience in distributed systems, real-time systems, fault-tolerant systems, private and/or public cloud environments, and container technologies.
  • Certifications in SW/System architecture beneficial.
  • Experience in agile methodology, international context, and multi-unit/multi-site environments beneficial.
  • Innovative, adaptable, and customer-oriented team player.
  • Fluency in German and English required.
