Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team. As a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure of our platform. You will lead and prioritize the team backlog by collaborating with stakeholders to ensure it is well-maintained and conceptually sound.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on hyperscalers like AWS or GCP.
  • Leverage cloud-native tools like Argo CD, Crossplane, Helm, etc., to create self-service Kubernetes platforms for software promotion.
  • Take ownership of product components, implementing new features, maintaining them, and keeping your team's technical debt small.
  • Ensure that delivering and releasing software on our cloud-based Kubernetes platform works smoothly for development teams by following GitOps principles.
  • Drive architectural and design decisions regarding components owned by your team.
  • Balance stakeholder perspectives by acting as the team's gatekeeper and considering various inputs.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology trends and adopt new cloud technologies and best practices to improve the quality of our platform.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure or platform engineering as a Senior Engineer, tech lead, or similar.
  • Team player with experience ensuring high-quality standards, maintainability, and a focus on automation.
  • Technical studies related to software engineering (or similar experience).
  • Experience with cloud hyperscalers (e.g., Python, Go, Java, etc.).

Compensation and Benefits

The minimum salary for this position is €56,000 gross per year, based on full-time employment.
