About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Federal Sales Director to lead our regional sales efforts and drive growth in the federal market. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for building and executing a sales strategy that aligns with our company's overall goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Lead a High-Performing Sales Team: Recruit, coach, and mentor a team of sales executives to drive rapid new business sales growth in the region.
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Collaborate with sales operations to develop and execute a sales strategy that effectively goes-to-market, including understanding the competitive landscape, presence, and strength within the region.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Actively engage in territory planning, relationship development, and opportunity development to drive revenue growth by supporting and assisting field sales teams in closing opportunities.
  • Manage and Report Sales Performance: Manage and report accurate forecast and pipeline to the business, and achieve annual sales goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Engage with C-Level Customers: Engage and align effectively in C-level meetings to understand customer business requirements and build effective working relationships with solution consulting, business units, professional services, marketing, our partner community, and the ServiceNow executive team.
  • Retain and Grow Existing Customer Base: Retain and grow the existing customer base with regular non-sales customer engagement activities to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Requirements
  • Extensive Track Record of New Business Sales Success: Proven track record of new business sales success, including presentation and negotiation skills within industry and at C-level.
  • Strong Sales Leadership Experience: Strong success in recruiting, coaching, and managing an exceptional sales team.
  • Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills: Strong strategic thinking, including analytical and financial planning skills to meet and exceed quotas and goals.
  • CRM Management: Ownership of accurate CRM reports, including current and future quarterly forecasts and opportunity inspection.
  • Sales Process and Relationship Building: Experienced in driving sales process and building effective working relationships with sales operations.
  • Business Acumen and Adaptability: Ability to understand the 'bigger picture' and business drivers around IT, and adapt and work effectively within a rapidly changing and growing environment.
  • Leadership and Development: Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen, and has a proven track record of building self-motivated sales teams that embrace a culture of collaboration, enthusiasm, and overachievement.
