Job Title: Head of Infrastructure Competence Centre

Join Frequentis Deutschland GmbH, a leading provider of communication and information systems for control centres, as we seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Infrastructure Competence Centre. As the Head of Infrastructure Competence Centre, you will be responsible for leading a team of experts in IT infrastructure, defining the standard IT architecture elements for Frequentis solutions, and driving innovation in secure and resilient infrastructure platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a diverse team of engineers in IT infrastructure, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Manage stakeholders and coordinate with business, delivery, and service organisations to provide a standardized catalogue of IT hardware and software components.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Infrastructure Competence Centre and other business units, ensuring alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives.
  • Define secure and resilient IT infrastructure architecture blueprints for on-premise and cloud solutions.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and collaborate with cybersecurity experts to mitigate risks.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies to enhance performance and effectiveness across the organisation.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle, platform engineering, and project management of selected infrastructure components for Frequentis solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10 years of proven experience in IT (development, architecture, project management).
  • 5 years in a leading position, preferably in IT.
  • Strong knowledge in IT, Cloud technologies, and cybersecurity; certificates preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, structured and analytical thinking, combined with leadership excellence, communication, and interpersonal skills.
