About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuary to join our team at Allianz in Vienna. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing actuarial models to support our business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models to calculate P&C claims reserves and risk
  • Collaborate with other divisions to analyze and discuss KPIs and data-driven insights
  • Prepare management reports and presentations for the Board of Management
  • Monitor portfolio development and profitability, and derive action fields for business steering
  • Support the planning process by preparing claims forecasts and aligning with portfolio and claims experts
  • Execute actuarial analysis on products, tariffs, and portfolios in P&C
  • Develop and implement new methods, models, and P&C applications
Requirements
  • Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, or a comparable field
  • Practical experience in P&C reserving and/or risk modeling
  • Knowledge of result drivers in insurance (local GAAP, IFRS, and MVBS) and corresponding KPIs
  • Experience with data management (DWH), preferably SAS- and/or SQL
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-applications and a programming language (VBA, R, Python)
  • Willingness to learn and develop, and a growth mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (English C1 and German)
