SalaryWe offer an attractive compensation package of €56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment, with a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
Job DescriptionThis role involves conducting independent research in the field of Cloud Native Security, identifying new research topics, developing prototypes, defining use cases and demos, and bridging academic research and commercial technology development. You will collaborate with our application security team and other internal and external stakeholders, contribute to the global research community by publishing and disseminating research findings, and actively take part in scientific and industrial cooperation projects.
You will guide PhD and master students in their career path and assist the lead researcher in defining and prioritizing the research roadmap. Your focus areas include Threat and attack detection, Vulnerability and risk analysis, Security Posture Management (xSPM), Kubernetes and container security, and Automated adversary emulation.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, experience and/or expertise in at least one of the relevant research topics, a good understanding of cyber and cloud security topics and their impacts on products and customer experience, a strong publication record, great communication skills when presenting and discussing research results with stakeholders, and excellent English skills (oral and written).
