Full-time (40 hours/week)
As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our educational offerings and institutional processes. The university is located on a picturesque hill, providing a stunning view of the capital of Austria. Since its establishment in 2007, Modul University Vienna has been at the forefront of research and education in fields such as international management, data science, new media technology, public governance, sustainable development, and tourism and hospitality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the revision of institutional rules and regulations, ensuring alignment with the Private University Law (PrivHG, HS-QSG) and the policies set forth by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria.
- Prepare accreditation proposals for new academic programs and manage the reaccreditation processes.
- Compile reports for accreditation and certification bodies (e.g., Annual Report to AQ Austria, UNWTO TedQual).
- Draft quality reports and present findings to the University Board.
- Collaborate with Deans of various programs to ensure high standards of teaching quality.
- Design, implement, and analyze surveys (course evaluations, student satisfaction surveys).
- Monitor faculty teaching loads and prepare relevant reports.
- Identify specific processes, measures, or indicators for the regular evaluation of the quality of services at MU.
- Further develop a comprehensive Quality Management system addressing the four pillars of MU: teaching, research, transfer services, and administration, along with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Compile and analyze data pertinent to rankings and surveys (e.g., Multirank, Statistik Austria).
- Participate in working group meetings of the Austrian Private University Conference and the annual meeting of the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria.
- Plan and conduct audits (ISO, etc.).
Candidate Profile
- A university degree, preferably in law, business, or management.
- Training and/or education in Quality Management (or a willingness to pursue such training).
- Familiarity with common Quality Management procedures and software (e.g., BPMN 2.0).
- A minimum of two years of full-time relevant experience in Quality Management, ideally within higher education or a similar environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a proven capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated maturity and a strong work ethic; proactive, agile, and engaged with a results-oriented mindset.
- Skills in office and project management.
- Aptitude for data collection and analysis.
- Proficiency in IT and advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- A valid work permit in Austria.
