About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team at AVL LIST as a research assistant for a thesis project focused on the development and validation of physics-based cell models for automotive applications.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review of existing physics-based cell models and their applications in the automotive industry.
  • Develop and implement a novel physics-based model for cell behavior, leveraging expertise in control engineering and simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink.
  • Design and develop a data generation model to obtain experimental data for calibrating an equivalent circuit/RC model.
  • Validate the developed model using real test data and evaluate its performance in various scenarios.
Requirements
  • Ongoing bachelor studies in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Automation Technology, Telematics, or Innovation Management.
  • Strong knowledge of control engineering principles and experience with Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in English language.
