Front-End Developer: JavaScript Expert

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Engineer with expertise in JavaScript, React, and web technologies to join our international team at RIAT Institut. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality front-end solutions for our back-end systems and contributing to the development of our non-React front-ends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop front-end solutions using JavaScript, React, and other modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with our back-end team to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end systems.
  • Contribute to the development of our non-React front-ends, including CSS, HAML, and Twig.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and trends, including Preact, Deno, NodeJs, and Bun.
  • Ensure that all front-end solutions are WAI WCAG AAA compliant and meet the highest standards of accessibility and usability.
  • Work closely with our design team to ensure effective design handoff and implementation.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our front-end codebase.
Requirements
  • Exceptional skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a strong understanding of modern web technologies.
  • Experience with design handoff tools, including Sketch and Zeplin.
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, SVG, and other markup languages.
  • Strong experience with browsers and web technologies, including Firefox and Chromium.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of web typography and web fonts.
  • Strong understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2 and Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG).
  • Strong experience with Git.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); German language is a plus but not necessary.
