About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Power Module Testing Engineer to join our team at Magna Powertrain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for testing and validating power modules for inverters used in traction drives.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that these modules can handle voltages up to 1000V and currents up to 800A. You will work closely with a dedicated team to develop and implement rigorous testing processes that guarantee the reliability of these power modules.

Your Responsibilities
  • Power module testing for inverters for powertrains (voltages < 1000V, currents up to 800A)
  • Creating test plans and test specifications
  • Planning and setting up test benches for component verification
  • Automating test procedures on test benches and in the electronics laboratory
  • Conducting, analyzing, and documenting measurements

Requirements
  • Degree from a technical university (Bachelor / Master / PhD) in the field of electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or technical physics
  • At least 2 years experience in the field of power electronics
  • Functional understanding of semiconductor devices
  • Basic programming skills
  • Willingness to travel within Austria & Germany
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • German language skills highly appreciated
