Assistant Director of Food

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to join our pre-opening team at the Mandarin Oriental, Vienna.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of the F&B department, ensuring seamless execution of all food and beverage services.
- Assist the Director of F&B in monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators, including guest satisfaction, revenue, and operating costs.
- Develop and implement strategic business and food and beverage plans, aligning with the hotel's overall strategy and goals.
- Manage and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all F&B outlets, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Director of F&B and department heads to plan and execute promotions, menus, and events that drive revenue and enhance the guest experience.
- Lead and motivate a team of F&B professionals, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Director of F&B and hotel management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless delivery of F&B services.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in the luxury hotel sector.
- Excellent knowledge of F&B operations, including restaurant and bar management, banquets, in-room dining, culinary, and stewarding.
- Strong numerical skills and ability to work comprehensively with spreadsheets and budgeting tools.
- Experience in developing strategic business and food and beverage plans, benchmarking activities, and managing food and beverage promotions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
