Position: Software Quality Engineer / Software Tester (m/f/d)
Department: Research & Development

Location: Innsbruck, Austria

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the development team to comprehend and evaluate software requirements, identify testing scenarios, and design as well as execute both manual and automated test cases that encompass various facets of software functionality.
  • Monitor and manage reported defects, ensuring detailed documentation, prioritization of issues, and collaboration with developers for prompt resolution.
  • Conduct regular updates and maintenance on existing manual and automated test cases, testing environments, and testing tools to maintain their effectiveness and relevance within an agile software development framework.
  • Utilize exploratory testing techniques to proactively investigate and identify potential software defects.
  • Guarantee the quality and reliability of our medical software applications, contributing to the overall success of our software development initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent technical education; ISTQB certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in test case design methodologies and familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Appium; knowledge in database testing and web/mobile application security testing is a plus.
  • Programming skills in an object-oriented high-level language.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset, along with strong communication skills, a self-reliant and meticulous work approach, and robust analytical problem-solving capabilities.

Salary Information:

Annual gross salary starting from €51,000, based on professional qualifications and experience.
