Quality Assurance Engineer for Medical Software

Position Overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at MED-EL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence and dependability of our medical software solutions. Your contributions will be vital to the success of our software development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Validate the quality and reliability of our medical software applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to comprehend and evaluate software requirements, identify testing scenarios, and develop both manual and automated test cases that encompass various aspects of software functionality.
  • Defect Management: Monitor and manage reported defects by documenting pertinent details, prioritizing issues, and collaborating with developers for prompt resolution.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular updates and maintenance on existing manual and automated test cases, test environments, and testing tools to maintain their effectiveness in an agile development setting.
  • Exploratory Testing: Utilize exploratory testing techniques to proactively identify and investigate potential software defects.
Your Profile
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent technical education; ISTQB Certification is advantageous.
  • Expertise: Proficient in test case design methodologies and familiar with test automation frameworks such as Appium; knowledge of database testing and web/mobile application security testing is a plus.
  • Programming Skills: Competence in an object-oriented high-level programming language.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in German is a plus.

Compensation

Minimum Salary: Annual gross salary starting from € 48,760.78, based on professional qualifications and experience.
