Thesis Opportunity in Additive Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly motivated student to work on a thesis project in additive manufacturing for fuel cell vehicles. The project involves developing innovative concepts by combining manufacturing and measurement technologies, such as embedding fiber optic sensor technology in additively manufactured components.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative concepts by combining manufacturing and measurement technologies
  • Multi-physical simulation / analytical calculation of the design
  • Realization and construction of demonstrators (prototypes)
  • Testing of components / systems in the laboratory in Graz
  • Evaluation of laboratory and simulation results in the field

Your Profile:

  • Ongoing studies in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Production Engineering or similar
  • Basic knowledge of sensor technologies and additive manufacturing
  • Mastery of at least one 3D CAD software
  • Basic knowledge of electrical drive systems and CFD advantageous
  • Structured and independent way of working with willingness to learn
  • Good knowledge of German and English
