Bars Manager Job Description

At Marriott International, we are seeking a skilled Bars Manager to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Department, you will be responsible for managing our award-winning bars and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and ensure a smooth service process in our bars
  • Plan and implement new concepts, as well as create the bar menu in coordination with our Assistant Bars Manager and Beverage Manager
  • Implement and ensure compliance with all Marriott International standards in the bar area
  • Carry out inventories
  • Provide professional advice to our guests
  • Guest care and handling of complaints
  • Independently manage a shift in the absence of the Assistant Bars Manager
Requirements:
  • Successfully completed vocational training as a restaurant specialist or comparable qualification
  • Experience in the bar area of the upscale catering or hotel industry, as well as in managing a shift
  • Great interest in drinks, wine, and cocktail knowledge
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages an advantage
  • Absolute service orientation, high reliability, and a careful way of working
