Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Cost Management Leader to join our team in Vienna and Munich. As a key member of our Cost Management stream, you will lead a team of cost management professionals and be responsible for delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a Cost Management team to ensure delivery of all accountabilities.
  • Take a leading role in interfacing with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final estimate.
  • Perform all aspects of procurement, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing tender lists, tender analysis, producing tender reports, and compiling contractual documents.
  • Manage post-contract cost variances and the change control processes.
  • Manage cost checks and carry out payment recommendations, supporting staff as required.
  • Produce monthly cost reports, including presenting to clients.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in cost management.
  • Broad experience in all cost management areas, including planning, estimating, pre-contract, post-contract, and final account.
  • Experience preparing Cost Management estimates and reports.
  • Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Understanding of cost (labour, plant, materials) as well as cashflow, commitments, and overall project costs.
  • Experience with key aspects of business development.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with project teams.
  • English skills are required, fluent German language skills are preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software and modern cost management digital tools.
