Global Iron Projects Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Technical Manager to lead iron projects from start to finish. As part of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing technical documents and commercial terms related to equipment supplied by our clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing technical documents and commercial terms relevant to your equipment;
  • Preparing project-related tender documents in collaboration with our engineering and technology department;
  • Issuing tender documents on time for suppliers to prepare their bids;
  • Selecting the best supplier based on project requirements, in close cooperation with our purchasing department and project management;
  • Closely tracking supplier progress, ensuring quality activities are conducted correctly, and initiating mitigation measures when necessary;
  • Ensuring timely shipment of equipment to the building site through coordination with our logistics department;
  • Preparing customer documentation for quality, delivery, erection, commissioning, and maintenance;
  • SUPPORTING OUR SITE TEAM WITH ERECTION AND COMMISSIONING ISSUES;
  • Actively contributing to claim management for your equipment, in close coordination with our purchasing department;
  • Contributing to project closure and lessons learned.
Key Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A technical education, such as mechanical or industrial engineering;
  • Professional experience in adequate technical functions (e.g., technology, engineering, installation);
  • Basic knowledge of project management methods and tools, contract law, and regulations for project business;
  • Experience working in international teams is preferred;
  • Willingness to travel internationally and participate in site delegations;
  • Advanced knowledge of English and German;
  • Initiative and self-motivation;
  • High integrity in dealing with others.
Compensation:

This position comes with a competitive salary of at least EUR 44,908.22 per year. Based on your qualifications, education, and experience, we may offer a higher salary.
