Job Description

As a Technical Manager for Iron at VACE Engineering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects in the iron industry. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing technical documents and commercial terms, preparing project-related tender documents, and selecting the best suppliers for our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze technical documents and commercial terms to ensure compliance with customer contracts
  • Prepare project-related tender documents in coordination with the engineering and technology department
  • Select the best supplier for our equipment, considering project requirements and collaborating with the purchasing department and project management
  • Closely track supplier progress, ensure expediting and quality activities are conducted, and initiate mitigation measures as needed
  • Coordinate with the logistic department to ensure timely shipment of equipment to the building site
  • Prepare customer documentation for quality, delivery, erection, commissioning, and maintenance
  • Support the site team with erection and commissioning issues
  • Contribute to claim management for our equipment, in close coordination with the purchasing department
  • Participate in project closure and lessons learned
Requirements:
  • Technical education in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
  • Professional experience in technical functions, such as technology, engineering, or installation
  • Basic knowledge of project management methods and tools, as well as contract law and regulations for project business
  • Work experience in international teams is preferred
  • Willingness to travel internationally and participate in site delegations
  • Advanced knowledge of English and German
  • Initiative and self-motivation
  • High integrity in dealing with others
Benefits:

The gross annual salary for this position is at least €44,908.22, according to the collective agreement. Depending on education, qualifications, and experience, a significant overpayment is possible.
