Celanese Engineered Materials (EM) is seeking an Advanced Materials Solutions Developer to actively support our Industrial and Consumer Business in DACH area.

The individual will work with our customers to develop novel and differentiated solutions to promote and grow Engineered Materials sales in Industrial applications, starting with Building & Construction applications and evolving in markets such as Furniture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and commercialize growth opportunities for our Engineered Materials portfolio in the Industrial and Consumer markets.
  • Lead the application development process. Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Technical and Sales teams as necessary to drive new growth opportunities and extensions to successful commercialization.
  • Enter and maintain opportunities in SFDC through commercialization.
  • Ensure adequate hand-off to the relevant account manager or channel partner when commercial negotiation starts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master engineering degree.
  • Solid technical background on engineering polymers.
  • Experience in engineering polymers within a context of business / technology / application is preferred.
  • Experience in promoting / selling engineering polymers, through account management or channel management is a plus.
  • Good communication and people skills in a complex environment.
  • Strong project management Skills.
  • A team player with independent working capability.
  • Up-to-date knowledge in information technology and computer skills.
  • Good discipline with sense of urgency to meet commitments.
  • Self-motivated and result oriented.
  • Must have a strong sense of ownership and personal accountability.
  • Analytical, scientific and methodical in solving technical challenges.
  • Native German language skills and high proficiency in English.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Travel requirements: 40-50%.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location: Switzerland, Austria, Office or Home-based location.
