Logistics Operations Manager

Danieli Engineering & Services GmbH is a leading manufacturer of plants and machines for producing metals and a global player in the metallurgical process chain in plant engineering.

As part of our team in Völkermarkt, we are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Shipping Manager. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of our shipping department, including correct invoicing, shipment management, and maintaining an orderly process.

Main Responsibilities

• Strategic Shipping Process Management: Negotiate with forwarders, assign responsibilities to suitable team members, process delivery orders, and facilitate coordination between logistics subsidiaries.
• Operative Task Support: Supervise and support team members in daily tasks, checking their work for timeliness and adherence to contractual terms, preparing shipping documents, and tracking shipments.
• Interface and Leadership: Act as a liaison with internal teams, customers, banks, and authorities, while leading the shipping team and promoting corporate culture and values.

Requirements

• A completed education in logistics or a related field.
• Good knowledge of logistics, customs, and Incoterms.
• Leadership experience in a logistics environment is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English (B2) and German (C1) is mandatory.
• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems, such as SAP S/4HANA.
