The University Board Office is seeking a Quality Manager (all genders) for a full-time position (40 hours/week). As a part of our commitment to excellence, we aim to enhance our educational offerings and uphold the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the revision of institutional policies to ensure alignment with the Private University Law (PrivHG, HS-QSG) and guidelines from the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria.
- Prepare accreditation proposals for new academic programs and manage reaccreditation processes.
- Compile reports for accreditation and certification bodies, including the Annual Report to AQ Austria and UNWTO TedQual.
- Develop quality reports and present findings to the University Board.
- Collaborate with Deans to ensure high standards of teaching quality.
- Design, implement, and analyze surveys to gauge course effectiveness and student satisfaction.
- Monitor faculty teaching loads and prepare relevant reports.
- Identify processes and indicators for the ongoing evaluation of service quality.
- Enhance the comprehensive Quality Management system addressing the four pillars of the university: teaching, research, transfer services, and administration.
- Gather and analyze data pertinent to rankings and surveys (e.g., Multirank, Statistik Austria).
- Participate in working group meetings of the Austrian Private University Conference and the annual assembly of the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria.
- Plan and conduct audits (ISO, etc.).
Candidate Profile
- A university degree, preferably in law, business, or management.
- Training or education in Quality Management, or a willingness to pursue such training.
- Familiarity with Quality Management procedures and software (e.g., BPMN 2.0).
- A minimum of two years of relevant full-time experience in Quality Management, ideally within higher education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a proven capacity to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- A mature and diligent work ethic; proactive and engaged with a results-oriented mindset.
- Skills in office and project management.
- A keen interest in data collection and analysis.
- Proficiency in IT and advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- A valid work permit for Austria.
