Thesis Opportunity: Predictive Fast Charging Algorithms for Battery Lifetime Improvement

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to work on a thesis project focused on predictive fast charging algorithms for battery lifetime improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a literature review of ageing models and predictive fast charging algorithms
  • Develop an algorithm for lifetime prediction/ageing model of a battery pack
  • Optimize the fast charging current based on actual battery pack SOH
  • Validate the model using real test data

Requirements:

  • Ongoing bachelor studies in Electrical engineering, Automotive engineering, Automation technology, Telematics, Innovation management, or similar
  • Good knowledge of control engineering
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Availability to work at our headquarters in Graz
