Thesis Opportunity in EV Battery Testing with Machine Learning

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and adapt data models for battery testing to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Design and implement a test environment to simulate battery test lab conditions.
- Research and analyze state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms applicable to plant management.
- Select and implement suitable approaches for tasks in the battery testing facility, allocating test equipment as needed.
- Develop an agent prototype that interacts with the environment to optimize battery testing.
- Design dashboard prototypes to effectively communicate necessary changes in resource allocation.
Requirements:
- Ongoing master's study in Computer Science, Telematics, or Physics.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with C# skills a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including reinforcement learning.
- Understanding of data structures and translations.
- Proficiency in German and English.
- Availability to occasionally visit AVL's headquarters in Graz.
