Our extensive portfolio includes high-speed trains, metros, monorails, trams, and comprehensive systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility. Every day, our dedicated team of 80,000 professionals works towards greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities while reducing carbon emissions and reliance on cars.

Your Future Role

Our site in Vienna serves as a global center of excellence for trams and light rail vehicles. With a team of 800 professionals, we develop and manufacture the FlexityTM tram for clients across the globe. Our Services product line provides a complete suite of solutions designed to maximize the value of customer assets throughout their lifecycle, from design and construction to operation and decommissioning. You will report to Franz Santner, Services Engineering Manager, and collaborate with a passionate and skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses to ensure the supportability and maintainability of systems and equipment.
  • Develop and revise technical documentation, including maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guides, and spare parts catalogs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Assess new designs and modifications for their implications on logistical support and maintenance, offering recommendations to enhance supportability and minimize lifecycle costs.
  • Implement Reliability Centered Maintenance principles to improve system reliability and safety.
  • Calculate Life Cycle Costs to forecast and lower the total cost of ownership.

About You:

We prioritize enthusiasm and attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will contribute to your success in this role:

  • A degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is essential.
  • Proficiency in both German and English is required.
  • A strong interest in developing efficient, testable, scalable, and well-documented processes.
  • Detail-oriented with an analytical and solution-focused mindset.

Benefits:

Embark on a transformative career journey in the rail industry, which offers opportunities for growth and skill development. The minimum salary for this position is € gross annually for full-time employment, with potential overpayment based on relevant experience and qualifications. You will also enjoy:

  • A dynamic work environment with a permanent position at a leading company in green mobility.
  • A competitive remuneration package, 25 days of vacation, and benefits such as company pension plans and discounted public transport tickets.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working models to optimize work-life balance.
  • Access to a company canteen, meal allowances, and excellent transport connections.
  • Opportunities for career advancement across functions and countries.
  • Comprehensive training programs through our award-winning Alstom University and participation in innovation initiatives.
  • A modern and collaborative workplace with mentorship programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and engaging employee events.
  • A robust corporate health management system, including access to a company physician and psychologist.
  • Additional attractive offers such as employee discounts and company bike leasing programs.

At Alstom, we believe in creating an inclusive work environment where all employees can realize their full potential. We value individual differences and ensure that all applicants are considered based solely on their qualifications, regardless of various legally protected characteristics.
