  • As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be part of a research unit conducting and coordinating scientific surveys, providing consultation on survey design, and offering data services.
  • You will be involved in survey research and actively contribute to the development of the unit.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research on survey methodology, data collection techniques, and statistical advancements
  • Presenting findings at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals
  • Developing projects and research proposals related to survey methodology, tools, and data
  • Contributing to the development of surveys throughout the entire lifecycle and designing and implementing quantitative surveys to collect high-quality data
  • Programming syntaxes at different stages of the survey process (data preparation to data archiving)
  • Developing and undertaking knowledge transfer activities

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You hold a Doctoral degree in economics, sociology, statistics, data science, or a related field
  • Aim at a career in policy-oriented applied research
  • Strong background in quantitative research methods, survey design, and analysis
  • Experience in designing, analyzing, and managing large-scale surveys is a plus
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Stata, R, SPSS, Python, Matlab
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
