Supervisor Financial Control Job Description

At DSM, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Supervisor Financial Control to lead our Financial Control and Accounting team in Austria. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing finance planning, actuals, closing, and reporting for our Animal Nutrition and Health entities in Austria.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the Austrian FC&A EMEA team of 7-8 FTEs to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial closing process and analysis for the assigned reporting units.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the FC&A EMEA unit lead and other stakeholders.
  • Join the country leadership team as the finance representative and be a business partner to the local business for all finance-related activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Accounting/Financial Controlling, and/or licensed certified public accountant.
  • More than 6 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Controlling.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring a team.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting processes, IFRS principles, and Austrian local GAAP.
  • Fluent in German and English.
