Job Title: Electrical Engineering Team Lead

Job Summary:

AVL is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Lead to join our team in Austria. As a key member of our System Design Electric & Safety department, you will be responsible for leading an international team and providing expert support for projects in the field of electrification test beds.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an international team of electrical engineers in Graz and Spain
  • Supervise large-scale projects in the field of electrification test beds
  • Support the team with basic and detailed engineering/planning, including calculation of industrial electrical systems and automation solutions
  • Design measurement and control systems as well as low-voltage switchgears
  • Interface engineering and system integration
  • Design and evaluation of safety technology (functional safety)
  • Check and ensure the quality of the team's engineering documents before they are handed over to the colleagues in Engineering
  • Support in the preparation of technical offers
  • Task force management in the projects
  • Pro-active interface function to customers and in-house technical teams
  • Further development of our system standards

Requirements:

  • Completed education (Master Craftsman, Secondary Technical College, University of Applied Sciences, University of Technology) with a focus on electrical engineering or automation technology
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in electrical design
  • Experience in EPLAN P8, Sistema and SAP is an advantage
  • Leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Strategic and analytical skills as well as joy in innovative work
  • Team spirit
  • Diplomatic skills and self-confidence
  • Very good in English, German skills are an advantage

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: 65,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
