Key Responsibilities

As the significance of electrical engineering escalates in the realm of electromobility, our "System Design Electric & Safety" division, comprising 40 dedicated professionals, is engaged in the development and project management of electrical systems and automation solutions tailored for AVL's test bed systems, maintaining close collaboration with our clientele.

In your role as the team leader for electrical planning, you will oversee an international team and provide expert guidance for projects related to our cutting-edge electrification test beds. Your expertise, collaborative spirit, and leadership capabilities will play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving the success of the department.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Professional leadership of an international team based in multiple locations.
  • Oversight of large-scale projects focused on electrification test beds.
  • Assisting the team with:
    • Basic and detailed engineering/planning, including the calculation of industrial electrical systems and automation solutions.
    • Designing measurement and control systems alongside low-voltage switchgears.
    • Interface engineering and system integration.
    • Designing and evaluating safety technology (functional safety).
  • Reviewing and ensuring the quality of engineering documents prior to their submission to the engineering department.
  • Supporting the preparation of technical proposals.
  • Managing task forces within projects.
  • Acting as a proactive liaison to clients and internal technical teams.
  • Engaging and supervising suppliers.
  • Advancing our system standards.

Profile Requirements
  • Completed education (Master Craftsman, University of Applied Sciences, University of Technology) with a specialization in electrical engineering or automation technology.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in electrical design.
  • Familiarity with EPLAN P8, Sistema, and SAP is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills, coupled with a passion for innovative work.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and self-assurance.
  • Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.

Annual Remuneration: In accordance with the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are required to disclose the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €65,000. The employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming compensation based on qualifications and professional experience.
