We are excited to offer a Photonics Interface Expert position at Infineon Technologies AG, where you will play a key role in driving the development of cutting-edge ion trap chips and advancing their integration into quantum processing units (QPUs).

About Our Team

Our international team is passionate about making quantum computing a reality, and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us. You will work closely with top-tier customers and academic partners, supervising master and PhD students and enabling the research community through projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Drive technology development for trapped-ion quantum processors
  • Co-develop the next generations of QPUs with commercial partners
  • Collaborate with academic partners to enable the research community

You should have a strong background in physics, quantum engineering, photonics, or computational physics, with 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or trapped-ion quantum computing. A PhD is required, and fluency in English is essential, with German skills or the willingness to learn a plus.
