About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Ramboll, a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company. As a Civil Engineer for Urban and Infrastructure Planning, you will play a key role in designing and implementing projects that align with Vienna's goals of becoming a carbon-neutral city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments and implement logistics feasibility studies
  • Supervise logistics operations as needed
  • Plan, execute, and monitor timelines, implement quality control, and report progress
  • Manage stakeholders, facilitate meetings, and maintain effective communication
  • Coordinate project teams, manage budgets, and oversee procurement
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, secure necessary permits, and adhere to regulations and standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans, and collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and authorities
  • Optimize rail infrastructure projects in terms of cost, efficiency, and environmental compatibility

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A completed degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 8+ years of demonstrable project management experience in rail and truck infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and work outdoors
