Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Finance Data Governance Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high data quality through comprehensive validations, enabling processes through audit and activation of new developments, and deploying reporting solutions to our Operations community.

About the Role

This position is part of the Data & Process Governance Team within the Global Data function. As a key member, you will share our reporting vision, help us spread it to countries, and work diligently to maintain data quality at the highest standards. You will also be empowered to analyze and improve underlying processes.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure high data quality through comprehensive validations to secure data consistency, integrity, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness, especially for Operations & Finance interdependencies during Month-End-Closing.
  • Enable processes through audit and activation of new developments as well as rollouts (sign-off & deployment). Focus on process governance, training, and support for Global Operations reporting processes/solutions. Conduct process analysis and review to deliver continuous process improvements for Operations Reporting.
  • Serve as an in-house consultant (support in the THINK/DESIGN phase of projects) for related SME areas. Manage and coordinate Operations Reporting solution/process-related enhancements together with our IT counterparts. Deploy and rollout reporting solutions to our Operations community.
Requirements
  • Professional experience in the field of data and process governance.
  • Solid Finance background and good understanding of Finance processes are essential.
  • Technical experience with ERP/EPM/BW systems or corresponding reporting/analysis solutions (e.g., SAP BEx Web, Crystal Reports, BO Analysis and Analytics Cloud, Tableau) is beneficial.
  • Programming skills (e.g., VBA, R, Python) are perceived as an asset.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the capability to handle multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand complex system correlations, quickly identify and analyze solution delivery risks and impacts, as well as define alternatives and prioritizations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams as well as global stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English; working knowledge of German is a plus but not a requirement.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Team player, self-motivated, goal-oriented, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel 0-10%.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
