Job Description

VIER PFOTEN International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Finance and Accounting. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, in accordance with UGB (Uniform Accounting Standards) for the VIER PFOTEN foundations based in Vienna.
  • Manage the accounting team and oversee the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial information for the relevant VIER PFOTEN Management.
  • Plan and support the annual auditing process, including the Austrian Donation Seal (of Approval) and donation deductibility procedures.
  • Monitor and control national and international payment transactions, including evaluation of cash flow and establishment of cash flow forecasts.
  • Supervise and optimize processes in the finance department, including analysis and implementation of cost improvements and process optimizations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and advise on their impact on the organization.
  • Support international Heads of Finance and other internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors, lawyers, banks, and tax authorities.
Requirements
  • Completed commercial training (HAK, WIFI, Uni, FH, or similar).
  • Experience in leading a team.
  • Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, with consolidation experience, ideally in an international organization.
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English, spoken and written.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong numeric and analytical skills, and a high service-orientation.
