About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Accountant to join our team at Erste Group Bank. As a key member of our Finance Division, you will be responsible for providing expert financial reporting and accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile and monitor treasury accounting subledger postings and procedures
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of diverse accounting and reporting topics
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
  • Challenge and improve existing processes
  • Cooperate with internal partners in Erste Holding, Sparkassen, and Erste Digital, as well as internal and external auditors
  • Participate in projects
Requirements
  • Education in economics, finance, or IT
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in bank accounting
  • Understanding of general accounting principles
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Austrian GAAP (UGB)
  • Basic know-how of treasury banking products (securities, derivatives, money-market)
  • Advanced know-how in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • General interest in new IT applications
  • Skills in SQL or R
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong team player
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of German
