Position Overview

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is seeking a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Technical Lead. This position requires a profound understanding of technological advancements and engineering principles related to nuclear fusion facilities and demonstration plants.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Exhibit extensive knowledge in the design and development of advanced nuclear power reactors.
  • Manage and oversee technical and scientific projects, ensuring adherence to established methodologies and best practices.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities and organizational proficiency in project management.
Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess the following:

  • Educational Background: A Master's Degree in nuclear or mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
  • Professional Experience: At least ten years of relevant experience in research and technology development within the nuclear fusion sector, including international exposure.
  • Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of global advancements in nuclear technology.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in managing complex projects with strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a high proficiency in English.
Compensation and Benefits

The IAEA offers a competitive remuneration package, including:

  • A tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $92,731, subject to mandatory deductions.
  • A variable post adjustment currently amounting to US $42,934.
  • Additional benefits such as dependency allowances, rental subsidies, and education grants.
  • Generous leave entitlements, including six weeks of annual leave and home leave travel.
  • A comprehensive pension plan and health insurance coverage.
