Job Introduction

Frequentis Group, a leading international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres, is seeking a Principal Architect to lead the development of its Air Traffic Management (ATM) IT Voice Solutions system and software architecture.

Main Responsibilities
  • Software and System Architecture: Define and align the product system and software architecture with business goals and objectives, ensuring technology investments support and drive business outcomes.
  • Architecture Roadmap: Collaborate with stakeholders to create a vision, evolution, and communicate the VCS software architectural strategy and technical/technological roadmap.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with leadership teams to translate business strategies into actionable value-driven business and VCS product capabilities.
  • Transformation Management: Support business transformation efforts by providing insights and guidance into how architecture changes will impact the sales, development, and delivery organization from an architectural perspective.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze, design, and improve business, development, and delivery processes to enhance efficiency and agility in development and delivery.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure architecting process and capability effectiveness.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 10-15 years' experience as IT architect in a safety-critical or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of modern IT communication technologies and its challenges.
  • Proven ability to analyze and design architectural processes and capabilities.
  • Critical Thinker and problem-solving skills combined with great interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent English language and presentation skills; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong team player, having an intercultural mindset, paired with international travel willingness.
