Horizons is seeking a Data Scientist

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Remote People. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing statistical and machine learning models in Foreign Exchange applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the data science team in data aggregation, generation of insights, and modeling.
  • Develop statistics models and machine learning models for a range of FX use cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with new languages and frameworks to identify the best tools for the objective.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge in statistics, including advanced models.
  • Experience in developing machine learning models.
  • Background in natural sciences, math, information science, or other statistics-adjacent fields.
  • Familiarity with Kafka stream processing.
  • Collaboration in development teams, including Git and CI/CD.
  • Experience with timeseries databases, OLTP, and OLAP.
  • Proficiency in Spark/Scala and SQL.
  • Experience with Python and high frequency finance/Foreign Exchange is a plus.
