Business Data Analyst

Job Description

As a Business Data Analyst at Allianz, you will be responsible for analyzing and visualizing data from our databases in the insurance sector, promoting the continuous automation and development of data. You will work closely with the Data Engineer to develop, prepare, and present a frontend in Power BI and Celonis. You will integrate and implement modern statistical analysis tools in our data warehouse, preferably from SAS/AWS Cloud or SQL languages and Power BI. You will evaluate and interpret the results of your analyses and actively derive concrete recommendations for action to expand the knowledge gain from the data basis. You will interpret the business model using data and numbers and regularly present the collected findings to management. You will actively improve and automate our core insurance processes (e.g., application of Celonis) in close cooperation with various stakeholders, such as insurance department staff, business analysts, and programmers.

Requirements
  • Completed studies in economics or business informatics or extensive professional experience in the field of economic consulting.
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of insurance processes.
  • Understanding of databases and data models using SAS, AWS Cloud or Azure, combined with advanced skills in data visualization using Power BI and VBA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills in German (at least C1) and solid business English level.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a solution-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn lifelong, especially in terms of market trends.
