Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Accounting Team Lead to join our team at DO & CO - Aktiengesellschaft. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our Group Accounting team, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements, and driving IFRS compliance and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a multi-member Group Accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Independently prepare consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS for reporting on the Vienna and Istanbul Stock Exchanges.
  • Group Consolidation: Oversee the group consolidation of approximately 90 subsidiaries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with external stakeholders (auditors, tax advisors, and consultants) and internal stakeholders (Management Board and local finance teams) to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the technical contact person for accounting topics and IFRS throughout the group, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Project Work: Participate in various projects, including the introduction of new IFRS standards, automation, and digitalization initiatives to optimize financial statement preparation processes.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completed business studies, preferably with a focus on accounting.
  • Experience: Several years of relevant professional experience in comparable positions.
  • Expertise: Profound expertise in the areas of accounting and consolidation according to IFRS guidelines.
  • Language Skills: Professional communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Personal Qualities: Team player with good communication skills, hands-on mentality, and high level of initiative.
  • Work Style: Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style.
  • Technical Skills: Confident application skills in MS Office (especially Excel) and ideally experience in working with Hyperion Financial Management.
