Senior Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Manager to lead our Group Consolidation & Accounting team at VAMED. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving excellence in financial management and ensuring the integrity of our financial data.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting and Consolidation: Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance and Standards: Ensure all accounting practices adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies, staying updated with changes in financial regulations and standards.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard financial assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Audit Management: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to complete audits, addressing any audit findings and implementing recommended changes.
- Tax Strategy and Compliance: Oversee tax planning to optimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax regulations in all jurisdictions the group operates.
- Future Team Leadership and Development: Establish the group accounting function (with your team) across different divisions, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Financial Advice: Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization, optimizing the financial performance and strategic position of the company.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or professional accounting qualification highly preferred or extensive professional experience.
- Experience: Extensive experience in accounting, ideally within a similar role or at a senior level in a large organization, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial capacity.
- Skills: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations; experience as a team lead in a finance function is an advantage; proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Language: Excellent communication skills in German and English, both verbal and written.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and inspire a diverse team.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, strategic, and solution-oriented thinking.
- Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ethics: Ethical behavior and business acumen to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Pressure Management: Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making and collaborate with other departments to achieve the company's financial goals.
