Senior Financial Controller

Our client, a leading international company in the healthcare, graphic arts, and high-tech sectors, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to join their team in Vienna, Austria. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a new controlling structure, working closely with European HQ and the In-house Finance Manager. Key responsibilities include leading post-merger integration activities, introducing accounting policies, and overseeing financial and tax aspects of potential mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, with long-term professional experience in accounting and/or financial analysis. Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, as well as working knowledge of Austrian GAAP and US-GAAP, is essential. Your Responsibilities:
- Establish a new controlling structure in collaboration with European HQ and the In-house Finance Manager
- Lead post-merger integration activities, including introducing accounting policies
- Oversee financial and tax aspects of potential mergers and acquisitions
- Responsible for financial forecasting for budget and mid-term planning
- Lead in cash management, KPI reporting, audits, and group authorization processes
- Analyze financial results and propose necessary actions
- Management reporting in cooperation with MD, finance manager, and business domains
- Collaborate with an external tax advisor on tax filing and tax audit tasks
Your Profile:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Long-term professional experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Working knowledge of Austrian GAAP and US-GAAP
- Experience working with consolidated reporting systems
- Professional experience with project and/or program management
- Fluent German and English verbal and written communication skills
