Editorial and Publications Project Manager

CIRSE is a non-profit making, educational and scientific association aiming to improve patient care through the support of teaching, science, research, and clinical practice in the field of cardiovascular and interventional radiology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production of CIRSE's scientific journals, including CVIR, CVIR Endovascular, and CVIR Oncology. This will involve liaising with editors, authors, reviewers, publisher, and other stakeholders, as well as drafting correspondence, presentations, and content for newsletters and other publications.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills. They will also have the ability to organise and moderate in-person and online meetings.

This role would be ideal for a candidate who is able to quickly pick up new information, think critically and creatively, and take initiative. They should also be interested in scientific publishing, editorial work, and willing to contribute to the diverse projects aiding in the development of CIRSE's journals and SOP documents.

Responsibilities
  • Liaising with editors, authors, reviewers, publisher, and other stakeholders
  • SUPPORTING EDITORS AND EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBERS IN THEIR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
  • Preparing regular project briefings to the committee members, editors, CIRSE leadership, and executive director
  • Organising in-person and online meetings, including coordinating invitations, compiling agendas, providing presentations, offering technical support, and taking minutes
  • Drafting correspondence, presentations, content for newsletters and other CIRSE publications
  • Working in the manuscript submission and peer-review system
  • Managing website content and coordinating promotional activities
