About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ruby Agent Developer to join our team at Dynatrace Austria GmbH. As a Ruby Agent Developer, you will play a key part in extending our Ruby Agent offering by implementing new features, changes, and improvements to our Ruby Agent - written in C, C++, and Ruby.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop performance and availability monitoring solutions for Ruby applications
  • Work primarily with Ruby and C++ (for native extensions)
  • Analyze and understand the inner workings of common Ruby gems
  • Design and implement new features and feature ownership
  • Cooperate with local and international development teams

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience as a Software Engineer with Ruby (priority) and C++
  • Knowledge of Open Telemetry is a plus
  • Knowledge of different Ruby interpreters (CRuby/JRuby) is a plus
  • Experience publishing Ruby Gems is a plus

Relocation Support:

If you need to relocate for a position you are applying for, we offer you a relocation allowance and support with your visa, work permit, accommodation, language courses, as well as a dedicated buddy program.

Compensation and Rewards:

We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages. Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is €56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
