Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Coordinator CEE to join our team at REWE BILLA CEE / Penny Int. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of accounting group requirements, participating in projects, and assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements according to IFRS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in the implementation of accounting group requirements and participation in projects, such as SAP S/4HANA and EU Taxonomy
  • Assistance in the preparation of annual financial statements according to IFRS
  • Close cooperation with different company areas and participation in international meetings and support during country visits
  • Development of solution concepts for required support based on business unit requirements and design of accounting workflows, ongoing analysis and optimization thereof
  • Information hub and coordination between all involved strategic business units regarding accounting and other finance processes in the international area
  • Proactive driver of current topics and development of accounting policies and work instructions to implement and enforce internal controls
Requirements
  • Very good MS Excel skills; good knowledge of SAP and other accounting systems are of advantage
  • Very good English language skills; German and other language skills are of advantage
  • IFRS 16 knowledge
  • Willingness to travel outside of Austria
  • Team player with open-mindedness and intercultural skills as well as strong communication skills and assertiveness
  • Solution-oriented and independent work approach with high service orientation and organizational skills
  • Commitment and high motivation to familiarize yourself with new topics
