The Mandarin Oriental, Vienna is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Spa to lead the pre-opening team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a luxury hotel's growth and success.

The Director of Spa will be responsible for opening the Spa and Fitness area, developing strategic initiatives to ensure financial and business performance, maximizing customer satisfaction, and overseeing the recruitment, induction, training, development, appraisal, and discipline of all spa colleagues.

We are looking for someone with a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or Business Administration, a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the Hotel or related Industry, excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and fluency in written and spoken German and English.

The estimated salary for this position is around €2,597 per month, although this may vary depending on qualifications and professional experience.

About Us

The Mandarin Oriental, Vienna will be housed in a heritage building and comprise 151 guestrooms and suites surrounding a courtyard in the centre of the property, incorporating a restaurant, bar, and outdoor garden. The property will also house a Spa at Mandarin Oriental featuring a series of treatment rooms, a swimming pool, and a well-equipped fitness centre.

Salary

The estimated monthly gross salary for this position is around €2597. However, the willingness to overpay depends on your qualifications and professional experience.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the opening of the Spa and Fitness area at Mandarin Oriental, Vienna
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to assure financial and business performance of the Spa
  • To maximize customer satisfaction with unique hospitality and services
  • Develop Spa marketing plan and its activities together with the Director of Marketing and be responsible for the execution of the plan
  • To be responsible to oversee the recruitment, induction, training development, appraisal and discipline of all spa colleagues
  • Ensure all of the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are in compliance with the Safe and Sound Manual

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or Business Administration
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the Hotel or related Industry
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English
