Position: System Architect (f/m/x)

As a key member of our product development team, you will take charge of defining and implementing the solution architecture in alignment with client specifications. Your expertise in complex, safety-critical systems will be invaluable in this role.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the project lifecycle as a Software and System Architect for safety-critical railway systems.
  • Serve as a technical authority to establish system architecture based on client needs.
  • Collaborate closely with project management to balance stakeholder expectations, technical solutions, costs, risks, and timelines.
  • Define and recommend solution architecture that meets both functional and non-functional requirements (safety, reliability, security, etc.).
  • Work within an international agile team and coordinate with various business units.
Your Qualifications:
  • Technical degree (FH, University) in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in full lifecycle software development and system architecture.
  • Background in industrial environments, particularly safety-critical and transportation sectors.
  • Experience with distributed systems, real-time systems, and fault-tolerant architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Openstack) and container technologies.
  • Certifications in Software/System architecture are advantageous.
  • Experience in an international context (multi-unit/multi-site) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies is beneficial.
  • Innovative, adaptable, and customer-focused team player.
  • Fluency in both German and English is essential.
